Drawing inspiration from movies is common in this cinematic world. Many are obsessed towards watching movies and few go a step further to adopt the lessons learnt from the movie. Not all movies are really great. But, every year several movies inspire millions of hearts to become successful, fight low-confidence, and become rich. Every human being needs a push in their life, especially when the person is down with difficulties, stress and trauma. Movies play a positive as well as negative role in our life.

Here are few of the most inspiring movies of all time that teach great lessons of life:
10. Soul Surfer (2011)
Soul Surfer is the inspiring story of teen surfer Bethany Hamilton who lost her arm in a shark attack. Before the shark attack she was a champion. After she losses her left arm in a shark attack while surfing, she recovers only to learn to surf with one arm. She wins hearts courageously by overcoming all odds in her life to become a champion once again. Despite of being in great pain, trauma, and shock the brave heart came back to surfing just after one month of the attack. The story teaches that nothing in this world is impossible. Truly amazing and inspiring!
9. Cast Away (2000)
Love and survival are one of the greatest things about this movie. This was one of the most unusual movies to have come in the year 2000. Tom Hanks as Chuck Nolan, an employee of FedEx gets stranded on a deserted island for four long years. It teaches amazing lessons to Nolan in the movie. Few of the lessons are: Life isn’t always fair to you; love doesn’t fade overtime and seize every opportunity that comes your way. Nolan learns to survive on the island with only a football as his friend. The entire episode of the movie is truly inspirational. Many other inspiring movies have come after this epic, such as The Martian and 127.
8. The Blind Side (2009)
The movie is based on the true story of Leigh Anne Touhy and Sean Touhy, who give shelter to a homeless boy, Micheal Oher. This movie shows how a supporting family helps a young kid succeed in his passion. Leigh Anne provides all the training Oher needed for learning football and understands his strengths in order to be the best in the team. She even advises his coach on how best to use Michael’s skills. All in all, the support of family is always important for an individual to succeed in his life and be happy in what he does.
7. Braveheart (1995)
The movie is indeed about a brave heart who fights for his country against the mighty English. Set during King Edward’s regime in England, Braveheart inspires many such soldiers who want to sacrifice lives for their country. Mel Gibson has portrayed a Scottish warrior who leads an uprising against the cruel. When someone loses their loved ones, it’s the most painful feeling in life, but to overcome it and fight against the cruel community requires a brave man’s heart. Not to give into emotions, but to fight against injustice is the theme of Braveheart.
6. Seven Pounds (2008)
Seven Pounds is an inspirational American movie by Will Smith. The story is about Tim (Will Smith) who sets out to change the lives of seven strangers. The heart touching story of Tim, who causes a multi-car accident due to his carelessness of texting while driving. He loses his wife and six other people in the multi-car accident. As a bid to atonement, he sets out to save the lives of seven good people by donating his own vital organs. This would be possible after a planned suicide. An inspiring and touching story on how carelessness can be deadly.
5. Rudy (1993)
A bold narrative encircling a young American wanting to play football for Notre Dame, shackled opportunity from society and his own intellect. He joins a junior high aiming to score for Notre Dame. Pushed hard and beaten to only prove to have an opportune with practice squad against giant-sized players. Rudy impresses to win hearts and inspire. All I can say is, sitting through this movie was like living the dream of a dreamer at one football stadium size a time.
4. Rocky (1976)
26th December is celebrated as The Boxing Day and this movie is apt for all the boxers that day. Rocky is the perfect movie to portray a sportsman and a boxer. Rocky Balboa is a struggling boxer and debt collector. A life changing match is setup for Balboa with heavyweight champion Apollo Creed when his manager decides to make a ‘nobody’ becomes ‘somebody’. It is a last chance for Rocky to hit big in his life and credibility at stake for Creed. As a turn of events, man with courage becomes champion. This for me shows, when a person decides to hit big, he really can punch hard.
3. The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)
A father always loves his family and he can go to any extent to protect them. Will Smith has done justice to the character, in which the natural emotions comes into picture. Deeply passionate about his product, he goes to every hospital in the country to sell it and earn some money. Having the courage to feed his son despite losing the house and staying in a public restroom is just amazing. Your initial struggles will bear the fruit in the future, as happens to Chris Gardner in the movie. He sells himself in the stock broker firm in order to get the training to qualify for the job.
2. Forrest Gump (1994)
Even the dumbest man can become successful in his life. This story reveals the life of Forrest Gump who carries a low IQ with him, but always finds positivity and happiness. If a human being believes in himself and continues to work hard towards his dreams, then nothing can stop him from achieving it. Forrest Gump inspires those children who are bullied in their childhood. It teaches them to stand up for themselves and always believe in their abilities. You might even end up getting the love of your life for all the good deeds that you do.
1. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Some people are imprisoned for the crime which they never committed, but the court has already ruled against you. Hope can never be taken away from any living creature. The body may be locked in the prison, but the spirit can never be imprisoned. The movie teaches us “Life we live can be torturous, but to accept it and change the attitude depends on an individual”. A person can always gain respect for the good he does to others. Be a good human being, is the message conveyed in The Shawshank Redemption. This is the highest rated movie ever in Hollywood.
A Beautiful Mind (2001)
